These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Northgale website, the Norma platform, and the Aegis application (together, the “Service”), provided by Northgale LLC (“Northgale”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Northgale provides an explainability and audit layer that converts AI outputs into plain-language explanations, evidence trails, confidence scores, risk flags, and audit records. The Service is provided on a subscription or metered basis as described on the pricing page.

2. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and for your authorized users' compliance with these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation.
Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems.
Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted.

4. Customer data

You retain all rights to the content you submit. You grant Northgale a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service. Northgale does not use your content to train third-party models or for any purpose other than operating the Service, except as required by law.

5. Fees and billing

Fees are described at the time of purchase. Paid plans are billed monthly and metered usage is billed in arrears unless otherwise stated. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. Enterprise terms, including a custom master services agreement, are available on request.

6. No professional advice

The Service provides technical explanation and documentation of AI decisions. It is not legal, financial, insurance, or compliance advice. You are responsible for your own compliance obligations and should consult qualified counsel where appropriate.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORTHGALE'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Northgale may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-product notice.
