Northgale LLC (“Northgale,” “we,” “us”) provides AI-native compliance infrastructure — the Norma platform and the Aegis application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data.

1. Data we collect

Account data — name, work email, and company when you sign up for Norma or Aegis.
Usage data — API requests, feature usage, and product analytics needed to operate and improve the service.
Customer content — the AI outputs, evidence, and audit records you submit for explanation. This is processed on your behalf to provide the service and is not used for any other purpose.
Marketing data — contact details you provide when you request a demo, contact sales, or subscribe to updates.

2. How we use data

To provide, operate, and secure the Norma and Aegis services.
To generate the explanations, evidence trails, confidence scores, and audit records that are the product.
To respond to support and sales inquiries.
To send transactional email (account, billing, security notices).
To analyze aggregate, de-identified usage to improve the product.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and third-party analytics and marketing tools (Google Analytics, LinkedIn, PostHog, Amplitude) to understand site usage and support marketing. You can accept or decline non-essential tracking via the cookie consent banner. Essential cookies required for the service to function cannot be declined.

4. Service providers

We use trusted subprocessors to host and operate the service (AWS, Stripe, and the analytics providers listed above). A current list is maintained on our Subprocessors page. We enter into data processing agreements with each subprocessor as required.

5. Data retention and security

Customer content is retained for the duration of your subscription and for the audit-retention period of your plan, then deleted or anonymized. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted on a least-privilege basis. See our Security page for details.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact contact@northgale.io.
